How the Webflow SEO Checker works
Enter your URL and Stackra reuses a recent scan of your site, or runs a fresh one, then reads the technical signals search engines care about: whether the page can be crawled and indexed, your canonical and social tags, your heading structure, your schema markup, and your link health. Every fix is framed for Webflow, so you only see advice you can actually act on.
Is Webflow good for SEO?
Yes, Webflow is a strong platform for SEO. It generates clean, semantic HTML server-side, ships on a global CDN (Fastly), and gives you full control over titles, meta descriptions, canonical tags, robots.txt, and per-page indexing without a plugin. The most common Webflow SEO problems are configuration errors: publishing to the webflow.io staging subdomain instead of a custom domain, leaving the sitemap disabled, or not setting meta descriptions on individual pages. The platform itself is not a ceiling.
Does Webflow affect Core Web Vitals?
Webflow's server-side rendering and CDN delivery typically produce strong Largest Contentful Paint and Cumulative Layout Shift scores. The risk area is Webflow Interactions: heavy scroll-triggered animations can shift layout and hurt CLS. Sites with minimal custom interactions and no large unoptimized images generally pass all three Core Web Vitals on mobile. Heavy page-builder complexity is the main cause of failure, not the platform.
How do I add schema markup in Webflow?
Add JSON-LD using an Embed element on the page, or via the custom code fields in Page Settings or Project Settings. Use Organization, WebSite, and Service or LocalBusiness types, and avoid SoftwareApplication schema, which triggers an install result visitors cannot complete.
Why is my Webflow page not being indexed?
The most common cause is the site being published only to the webflow.io subdomain. Google does not index webflow.io staging URLs, and neither does any other search engine. Connect a custom domain and republish. Other causes are a noindex setting in Page Settings or a disallow rule in robots.txt. This checker flags each of these so you can find the cause quickly.
Does Webflow create my sitemap automatically?
Webflow can generate your sitemap automatically, but the setting must be turned on. Go to Project Settings > SEO and enable Auto-generate sitemap. Individual pages can be excluded via Page Settings. If this checker reports the sitemap missing, the setting is usually the cause.
