What we see on NetSuite sites
- NetSuite-fronted sites are serious commerce operations. Inventory, fulfillment, and customer account management are fully integrated in ways that no other platform handles natively.
- The backend sophistication of NetSuite sites consistently exceeds their frontend quality. The ERP investment is real; the web investment sometimes isn't.
- B2B commerce patterns are native here -- quote management, account portals, contract pricing, and approval workflows are baked in.
- Frontend performance lags significantly behind backend capability. NetSuite's web layer wasn't designed with Core Web Vitals as a priority.
- JavaScript-heavy product catalog and account pages that take 5+ seconds to load. The data layer is fast; the rendering is not.
- SEO fundamentals (schema, Open Graph, meta descriptions) treated as secondary to functionality. These sites rank for brand terms and not much else.
- NetSuite sites consistently have the most complex page structures in our corpus. We regularly see 30+ third-party scripts -- more than double our flagging threshold -- driven by analytics, personalization, and compliance tools.
- NetSuite sites in our corpus show the heaviest average page weight of any platform. Product catalog complexity and heavy JavaScript frameworks combine to produce page sizes that regularly exceed 5MB.
